Jordan McNamara spent his freshman year at the University of Washington where he struggled with injuries. Arriving in Eugene in the fall of 2006 rejuvenated McNamara's running when he transferred to Lane Community College. He had a breakthrough year on the track breaking school records in the 1500, 5k, and 10k. He was ranked 16th in the entire country, earning him a trip to the USA Outdoor Championships, with a personal best of 3:41. He is racing unattached this fall planning on transferring to the University of Oregon.
